    Car

    To reach Mitchell State Park by car, first identify your starting location in Northern Michigan. If you are near Traverse City, take US-31 North towards Cadillac. Merge onto M-115 South and continue for approximately 23 miles. The park entrance will be on your left at 6093 M-115, Cadillac, MI 49601. If you are coming from Petoskey, take US-131 South to M-115 and head west for about 30 miles until you reach the park.

    Public Transportation

    There is limited public transportation in Northern Michigan. However, you can take a Greyhound or Indian Trails bus to Cadillac. Once in Cadillac, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Mitchell State Park, as public transport does not directly service the park. Expect taxi costs to vary, but budget around $15-$20 for a short ride from downtown Cadillac to the park.

    Biking

    For those who enjoy biking, if you are in the Cadillac area, you can bike to Mitchell State Park. The park is located about 3 miles from downtown Cadillac. Head south on Lake Street, take a left on E. Cass Street which turns into M-115, and follow it straight to the park entrance. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local biking laws. There are bike racks available at the park.
