If you're in downtown Petoskey, start at the Petoskey City Hall located at 101 E Lake St, Petoskey, MI 49770. Head north on Lake St towards Mitchell St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E Division St. Turn left onto E Division St and continue for another 0.3 miles. You will reach the intersection with N Howard St. Turn right onto N Howard St and walk for about 0.2 miles. Once you reach NCMC Natural Area Trail, follow the path into the natural area. The Natural Spring is located within this area.

From downtown Petoskey, start at the Petoskey Bike Path near the waterfront. Head east along the bike path which runs parallel to Lake Michigan. After about 1 mile, you will reach the intersection with N US-31. Turn left onto N US-31 and bike for 0.5 miles until you see signs for NCMC Natural Area Trail. Follow the signs into the natural area where the Natural Spring is located.
