Getting There

• Walking

  Start in Saugatuck at the Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Society located at 735 Park St, Saugatuck, MI 49453. Head south on Park St towards the intersection with Blue Star Hwy (US-31). Turn right onto Blue Star Hwy and walk for about 0.6 miles until you reach the intersection with Lake St. Turn left onto Lake St and continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the waterfront area. Keep following Lake St until you reach the Douglas Beach Park. From the beach, you will see the Kalamazoo Replica Lighthouse located along the shore. It is approximately a 1-mile walk from the Historical Society.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, begin at the Saugatuck Chain Ferry located at 360 Water St, Saugatuck, MI 49453. Take the ferry across the river to Douglas. Once you disembark, head east on Center St until you reach Blue Star Hwy. Turn right onto Blue Star Hwy and bike for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Lake St. Turn left onto Lake St and continue cycling for another half mile until you arrive at Douglas Beach Park, where you can view the Kalamazoo Replica Lighthouse.
