    If you're traveling by car, start from any location in The Thumb region. Head west on M-46 towards Ludington. Continue on M-46 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with US-31. Merge onto US-31 North and follow it for about 50 miles. Take exit 162 for M-115 toward Manistee. Follow M-115 for about 12 miles until you reach the junction with M-22. Turn left onto M-22 and continue for about 16 miles. Finally, turn right onto Point Betsie Road and follow it until you reach 3485 Point Betsie Rd, Frankfort, MI 49635. There is no entry fee to access the beach.

    If you're using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in The Thumb to the nearest major city, such as Bad Axe or Port Huron. From there, you will need to take a Greyhound bus to either Manistee or Traverse City.
