Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are near downtown Traverse City, head to the nearest bus stop and take the 'Bay Area Transportation Authority' (BATA) bus route that goes toward the Peninsula. You will want to catch the Route 10 or Route 11. Ask the driver for the stop closest to Hawthorne Vineyards, located at 1000 Camino Maria Dr. Once you get off the bus, walk about 0.5 miles southeast on Camino Maria Dr until you reach Hawthorne Vineyards.

• Walking

  If you are in the downtown area of Traverse City, you can walk to Hawthorne Vineyards. Start at the intersection of Front St and Union St. Head east on Front St until you reach the intersection with Garfield Ave. Turn left onto Garfield Ave and continue walking north. Follow Garfield Ave as it turns into Peninsula Dr. Continue on Peninsula Dr for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Camino Maria Dr, and you will find Hawthorne Vineyards located at 1000 Camino Maria Dr, about a quarter-mile down the road.

• Bike Rental

  Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Traverse City. Once you have your bike, head east on Front St and follow it to the waterfront. Continue along the scenic path until you merge onto Peninsula Dr. Ride north on Peninsula Dr for about 2 miles. Make a right onto Camino Maria Dr, and you will find Hawthorne Vineyards about 0.25 miles down the road on your right.
