    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are starting from downtown Traverse City, head south on Front Street until you reach the intersection with Division Street. Turn right onto Division Street and walk until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront path (Boardman Lake Trail) to the east. Continue along the path, which will eventually lead you out of downtown and towards the charming neighborhoods. You will pass several parks along the way. After about 1.5 miles, when you reach the intersection with Center Road, turn left. Continue walking on Center Road for approximately 2 miles, and you will see the Mission Point Lighthouse on your right, just past the entrance to the lighthouse park.

    Biking

    From downtown Traverse City, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Start on Front Street heading south and take a left onto Division Street. Follow Division Street to the waterfront trail (Boardman Lake Trail). Once on the trail, head east for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the lake views. After reaching the intersection with Center Road, take a left and bike along Center Road for about 2 miles. The Mission Point Lighthouse will be on your right as you approach it.

    Public Transportation

    Unfortunately, there is no direct public transportation to Mission Point Lighthouse. However, you can take the Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) bus from downtown Traverse City to the closest stop near the lighthouse. You would need to check the current bus schedule and routes as they may vary. Once you get off at the nearest stop on Center Road, walk approximately 0.5 miles north along Center Road to reach the lighthouse. Make sure to plan your trip ahead of time, as the buses may not run frequently.
