Getting There

• Public Bus

  Start at the Traverse City Downtown Transit Center located at 1150 W 13th St, Traverse City, MI 49684. Board the 'Leelanau Transit' bus heading towards Suttons Bay. The bus usually operates at 30-minute intervals. Inform the driver that your destination is Shady Lane Cellars. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Suttons Bay stop, which is near the intersection of E Shady Ln and N St Joseph St. From there, walk east on E Shady Ln for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Shady Lane Cellars, located at 9580 E Shady Ln.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at one of the local bike rental shops in Traverse City, like 'Bicycle Tours and Rentals' located at 1540 N US 31, Traverse City, MI 49686. Once you have your bike, head north on US-31/N. West Bay Shore Dr for about 8 miles until you reach Suttons Bay. Use the bike path along the highway for safety. Turn onto E Shady Ln and continue for about 1 mile until you reach Shady Lane Cellars at 9580 E Shady Ln.

• Walking

  If you are close to downtown Traverse City, you can walk to Shady Lane Cellars. Start at the corner of Front St and Park St. Walk north on Park St until you reach E 8th St. Turn left and walk along E 8th St until you reach N Division St. Turn right on N Division St and continue straight until it turns into M-22. Follow M-22 until you reach Suttons Bay. Once you are in Suttons Bay, turn onto E Shady Ln and walk about 1 mile to reach Shady Lane Cellars at 9580 E Shady Ln.
