Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Munising. From any location within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, follow the signs to Munising, which is the nearest city. Once you reach Munising, take H-58 (also known as Munising Avenue) towards the downtown area. Continue straight until you reach Commercial Street. Turn right onto Commercial Street, and Riptide Ride will be located on your right at 1309 Commercial St. Look for the vibrant signage indicating the Riptide Ride entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, the nearest bus service is from the Alger County Transit. You can catch a bus from various stops in the area. Ensure you check the schedule in advance as services may be limited. Take the bus to the Munising stop. Once you arrive in Munising, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach Riptide Ride. Head northwest on Munising Avenue, then turn right onto Commercial Street. Riptide Ride will be on your right at 1309 Commercial St.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and would like to cycle, Pictured Rocks has bike-friendly trails. You can bike from the nearby trails leading into Munising. From the trails, bike along H-58 towards Commercial Street. Once you reach Commercial Street, turn right, and Riptide Ride will be approximately 1 mile down the road on your right at 1309 Commercial St. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all local biking regulations.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby or prefer to walk, you may navigate to Riptide Ride on foot. From the Munising Visitor Center, head south on Munising Avenue until it intersects with Commercial Street. Turn right onto Commercial Street, and Riptide Ride will be located at 1309 Commercial St, just a short walk from the center. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes for the walk.
