If you are driving from Grand Rapids, take US-131 North to exit 90 for I-96 West. Continue on I-96 West until you reach US-31 North towards Manistee. Follow US-31 North for about 45 miles until you reach Manistee. Once in Manistee, take M-55 East towards the downtown area. Turn right onto River Street, then continue straight until it becomes the Manistee North Pier Access Road. Follow the access road to the parking area near the lighthouse.

To reach Manistee via public transportation, you can take a bus from major cities in West Michigan to the Manistee area. Check schedules for the Indian Trails bus service, which can take you to Manistee. From the bus station in Manistee, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to get to Manistee North Pier Lighthouse, which is approximately 3 miles from the bus stop. Be prepared for a fare of around $10 for the taxi ride.
