Walking
From the center of Kolonia, start at the main entrance of the Pohnpei State Government building. Head east on the main road (Route 10) towards the bridge. Cross the bridge over the lagoon and continue straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork to stay on Route 10, which will lead you into the Tamworohi area. Follow the road for another 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Kokomaru Waterfall. The trailhead is just off the main road; park your belongings and begin your hike on the marked trail to the waterfall.
Biking
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kolonia. Start at the Kolonia Town Plaza and head east on Route 10, following the same route as the walking directions. Ride along the lagoon, and when you reach the fork in the road, take the left side. Continue biking for about 3 kilometers until you spot the sign for Kokomaru Waterfall. Lock your bike at the trailhead and hike the remaining distance to the waterfall.
