Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Canal Park, head towards the iconic Canal Park Lighthouse. From the lighthouse, walk south along the shoreline path, which will lead you towards Lake Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 522 S Lake Ave. The Duluth Visitor Center will be on your left side, just past the intersection with 6th Street.

  • Public Transit

    From the Duluth Transportation Center, catch the DTA bus route 1 towards 'Central Hillside'. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at 5th Ave W & W Superior St. From there, transfer to route 11 towards 'Canal Park'. Ride for another 5 minutes and get off at the stop on Lake Ave S & 6th St. Walk south on Lake Avenue for about 2 blocks. The Duluth Visitor Center will be at 522 S Lake Ave.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start from the Lakewalk Trail in Canal Park. Head north towards the Canal Park Marina, then follow the trail that merges into Lake Avenue. Continue biking south on Lake Avenue, and in about 10 minutes, you will arrive at 522 S Lake Ave, where the Duluth Visitor Center is located.
