If you are in downtown Duluth, you can take the DTA (Duluth Transit Authority) bus route 4 or 5. Board the bus at any stop along the route heading towards the 'Duluth Depot' or 'Michigan Street' area. The closest bus stop to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum is at 'W Michigan St & S 5th Ave W'. Once you get off the bus, walk west along Michigan Street for about 0.2 miles, and you will find the museum at 506 W Michigan St.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Duluth. From there, head west on Superior Street until you reach 5th Avenue West. Turn left and continue until you reach Michigan Street. Turn right on Michigan Street, and the Lake Superior Railroad Museum will be on your left at 506 W Michigan St. The distance is approximately 1 mile.
Walking
For a leisurely walk from the downtown area, start at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Head northwest on S 5th Ave W towards W Michigan St. Turn right onto W Michigan St and continue for about 0.5 miles. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum will be on your right at 506 W Michigan St. This walk will take about 10-15 minutes.
