Walking
Begin your journey at the Grand Marais Visitor Center located at 15 W. Wisconsin St. Head south on Wisconsin St towards S. Broadway Ave. Turn left onto S. Broadway Ave and continue until you reach the Gunflint Trail. Note that the Gunflint Trail (Co Rd 12) is a scenic highway, and you will need to walk approximately 41 miles along this route to reach Magnetic Rock. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks.

Start at the Grand Marais Visitor Center at 15 W. Wisconsin St. Rent a bike from a local rental shop if you do not have one. Head south on Wisconsin St to S. Broadway Ave. Turn left onto S. Broadway Ave, and follow it to meet the Gunflint Trail (Co Rd 12). Once you reach the Gunflint Trail, bike approximately 41 miles north. Enjoy the ride as you pass through the beautiful landscape, and be sure to take breaks as needed.
