If you're driving, start from Lutsen Mountains Resort. Head south on MN-61 S for approximately 8 miles. As you approach Tofte, look for the sign for the Superior Hiking Trail. Turn left onto the access road leading to the trailhead. There is a small parking lot at the trailhead where you can park your car for free. From the parking lot, follow the Superior Hiking Trail signs to walk approximately 0.5 miles to Cedar Overlook.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, check with local shuttle services that operate in the Lutsen area, such as the North Shore Transit. You can catch a shuttle from Lutsen Mountains Resort to Tofte. Once you arrive in Tofte, you will need to walk to the Superior Hiking Trail access point. The trailhead is about 1 mile from the shuttle drop-off point. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as this will be a short hike to Cedar Overlook.
