    Light Rail

    If you are starting from downtown Minneapolis, head to the Nicollet Mall light rail station. Take the Blue Line heading southbound towards the Mall of America. Ride for about 5 stops, and get off at the 'Government Plaza' station. From there, transfer to the Green Line and head towards 'Target Field.' Get off at 'Target Field' station, which is about 1 stop. Exit the station and walk towards the riverfront. You'll find the Guthrie Theater at 818 S 2nd St within a 10-minute walk.

    Bus

    Locate the nearest bus stop in downtown Minneapolis. You can take the Metro Transit bus routes 4, 7, or 11, which all have stops near the Guthrie Theater. Board the bus headed towards the West Bank and get off at the 'Washington Ave SE' stop. From there, walk southwest along Washington Ave for about 5 minutes. You will reach Guthrie Theater at 818 S 2nd St.
