To reach Lakewalk by public transit, take the Duluth Transit Authority bus route 7. Board the bus at any stop along the route heading toward Canal Park. Disembark at the Brighton Beach stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the Lakewalk entrance. Be sure to check the Duluth Transit Authority website for bus schedules and potential fare costs, which may range from $1.50 to $2.00.

If you are already in Canal Park or nearby, you can simply walk to Lakewalk. Head northeast along the Lakewalk Trail from Canal Park. The walk is scenic and follows the shoreline, making for a pleasant experience. It’s approximately a 20-minute walk from Canal Park to Brighton Beach.
