Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Superior National Forest, head towards MN-61 S. If you're at the Tofte area, take MN-61 S for approximately 30 miles. If you're in the Ely area, take MN-1 W to connect with MN-61 S. Once you reach Two Harbors, follow the signs to Lighthouse Point. The Breakwater and Lighthouse is located at 1 Lighthouse Point, Two Harbors, MN 55616. There is ample parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  While public transportation options are limited in this area, you can take a bus from Duluth to Two Harbors via the Arrowhead Transit service. Be sure to check the schedule in advance, as bus service may not be frequent. Upon arriving in Two Harbors, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Lighthouse Point, which is about 1.5 miles from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  For adventurous travelers, consider biking from nearby areas. If you are in Two Harbors, the route to Lighthouse Point is bike-friendly. Follow the scenic route along the Lake County Road 2, which leads you directly to the Breakwater and Lighthouse. Ensure you have a proper map or GPS device for navigation, and wear a helmet for safety.

• Walking

  If you're already in Two Harbors, walking to the Breakwater and Lighthouse is a pleasant option. From downtown Two Harbors, head north on 7th Avenue, which will lead you directly to the lakeshore and the Breakwater. The walk is approximately 1 mile and offers lovely views of the area.
