From the visitor center, follow the signs towards the Illgen Falls Trail. The trailhead is located just a short walk away. The hike to the falls is approximately 1.5 miles one way. The path is well-marked and offers scenic views of the surrounding area, but be prepared for some elevation changes along the way.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from nearby rental services (check local listings for availability). Follow the paved bike paths within Tettegouche State Park, making your way to the trailhead for Illgen Falls. Once you reach the trailhead, secure your bike at the designated bike rack and continue on foot for the remaining 1.5 miles to the falls. Car
If you're traveling by car, you can access Tettegouche State Park via State Highway 1. Upon entering the park, you will find a parking area near the visitor center. Park your vehicle there.
