Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Winona Transit Center located at 207 E 6th St, Winona, MN. Catch the Metro Bus Line 1 towards the East Side. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop near the intersection of W 5th St and Main St. From there, transfer to Line 2, which will take you closer to Great River Bluffs State Park. You'll want to get off at the stop that serves Kipp Dr, which is the closest point to the park. Be prepared for a short walk to the park entrance.

    If you prefer cycling, start from downtown Winona and head south on Main St. Follow the road as it curves and transitions into WI-35 S. Continue on WI-35 S for approximately 5 miles until you reach Kipp Dr. Turn left onto Kipp Dr. The entrance to Great River Bluffs State Park will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow cycling safety rules.

    For those who enjoy walking, begin your journey at the Winona County History Center located at 160 Johnson St, Winona, MN. Walk south on Johnson St until you reach E 5th St. Turn left on E 5th St and walk until you reach Main St. Turn right onto Main St and continue on this road, which becomes WI-35 S. After walking about 5 miles, turn left onto Kipp Dr. Walk along Kipp Dr until you reach the entrance of Great River Bluffs State Park.
