If you are near the northern part of the forest, take Highway 49 South towards Hattiesburg. From Hattiesburg, continue on US-45 North towards Columbus. Once you reach Columbus, take the exit for MS-182 E/Macon Rd. Continue on Macon Rd, then turn onto Lake Lowndes Rd. Follow the signs for Lake Lowndes State Park. The park entrance will be on your right at 3319 Lake Lowndes Rd, Columbus, MS 39702. There is no admission fee for the park, but be aware that some activities may have associated costs.
