Getting There

• Car

  From the Visitor Center in Vicksburg National Military Park, exit the park and turn left onto Clay Street. Continue on Clay Street until you reach Washington Street (MS-61). Turn right onto Washington Street and drive for about 1.5 miles. The Vicksburg Civil War Museum will be on your right at 1123 Washington St, Vicksburg, MS 39183. There is parking available nearby, but it may have a small fee depending on the time of your visit.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you can take a local bus service from the Vicksburg National Military Park to the downtown area. After you arrive in downtown Vicksburg, walk east on Washington Street for about 0.5 miles. The Vicksburg Civil War Museum will be on your left at 1123 Washington St, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
