From any location in Black River Basin, begin by heading to the nearest major road. If you are near Highway 67, take that south towards Poplar Bluff. Once you reach Poplar Bluff, merge onto US-60 W towards Springfield. Continue on US-60 W for approximately 20 miles until you see signs for US-63 N. Merge onto US-63 N and continue for about 40 miles until you reach the junction with I-70 W. Merge onto I-70 W and travel approximately 25 miles to exit 121 for US-65 S towards Marshall. Follow US-65 S for about 15 miles, then take exit 83 for MO-20 W. Continue on MO-20 W for about 10 miles until you reach Nelson. Turn onto Visitor Center Dr, where you will find Arrow Rock State Historic Site at 39521 Visitor Center Dr, Nelson, MO 65347.
