    From the Independence Square, head east on Maple Avenue. The Historic Preservation office is located at 111 E Maple Ave, a short walk from the square. The walk is mostly flat and takes about 5 minutes. No costs involved.

  • Public Transport

    While fixed bus routes have been mostly replaced by the IRIS on-demand transit service , you can use the IRIS app to request a ride to 111 E Maple Ave. The fare is $5 per person per trip within Independence. Alternatively, RideKC Freedom paratransit is available for $3 per one-way trip within the city.
