Landreth Park: Joplin's Historic Green Oasis

Visitors can enjoy a 1-mile hard-packed gravel loop and a 1.8-mile paved trail. For those seeking relaxation, there are picnic shelters, a butterfly garden, and shaded areas.Landreth Park also holds historical significance, with two historical trail markers noting the site of the first lead discovery in Joplin around 1849 and the discovery shaft sunk by Moffet and Sergeant around 1870.
