Getting There

  • Walking

    Centennial Hall is located on the western edge of the Truman State University campus. From the center of campus near the Kirk Memorial, walk west along the paved paths, past the Student Union Building. Centennial Hall will be on your right, just past Barnett Hall.

  • Public Transport

    The Kirksville public transit, Kirk-Tran, offers a demand-response system. You can schedule a ride by calling the dispatch center. A one-way trip within Kirksville costs $2. From the Kirksville Amtrak station in La Plata, MO, you would need to call a cab or schedule a ride with Kirk-Tran to get to Centennial Hall.

  • Driving

    From downtown Kirksville, head south on S Franklin Street. Centennial Hall will be on the left, part of the Truman State University campus. Visitors can obtain a visitor's parking pass from the Office of Admission during the week. On weekends, guests are welcome to park in any open campus lot. A parking permit is required to park on campus.

Centennial Hall stands as a significant landmark on the Truman State University campus, offering a vibrant living experience for its residents. Constructed in 1967 during the university's centennial year, the five-story building provides suite-style accommodations and a strong sense of community. Centennial Hall is more than just a place to sleep; it's a place to connect. It is known for its outstanding community atmosphere, and each fall, it hosts Festival Centennial. The building boasts a spacious main lounge that often hosts small on-campus events. The hall features a cafeteria, computer labs, mailboxes, vending machines, ATMs, laundry rooms, and a large study lounge. The building was renovated between 2012 and 2014, which brought updated laundry facilities, kitchens, study areas, and computer stations. Centennial Hall does not have air conditioning or carpeting in resident rooms.
