Public Transit - MetroLink
If you are in downtown St. Louis, head to the nearest MetroLink station, such as the 8th & Pine station. Board the Red Line train heading toward the Shiloh-Scott station. You will need to transfer at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere station to the Blue Line toward the Fairview Heights station. Get off at the Kirkwood station. From there, take a bus (Route 57) towards the Katy Trail. Disembark at the nearest stop to the trail, then follow the signs to access the Katy Trail.
Walking
If you are near the Mississippi Riverfront, you can walk towards the Arch and head west. Follow the riverwalk until you reach the Eads Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the path leading to the Katy Trail. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the Arch to the trail entrance.
Biking
For those near downtown, rent a bike from one of the bike-share stations. Head towards the East along the riverfront bike path. You will connect to the Katy Trail near the Eads Bridge. The bike ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
Ride-sharing Services
Use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Input 'Katy Trail' as your destination. The driver will drop you off at the nearest access point to the trail. Make sure to confirm the exact drop-off location with the driver to ensure you're close to the entrance.
