Discover more about Silver Dollar City

Silver Dollar City isn't just a theme park; it's a journey back in time to an 1880s Ozark mining town. The park evolved from the popular Marvel Cave, first explored in the 1500s by Osage Indians, with tours beginning in 1894. In the 1950s, the Herschend family recognized the potential of the area and created a village to entertain guests waiting to tour the cave. What began as a few shops, a church, and a street show has blossomed into a sprawling park with thrilling rides, captivating shows, demonstrating artisans, and unique festivals. Authenticity and preservation are at the heart of Silver Dollar City, with careful attention to detail in recreating the atmosphere of a bygone era. Today, visitors can experience everything from world-class roller coasters like Outlaw Run and Wildfire to craft demonstrations by talented artisans. Live entertainment abounds, with shows occurring throughout the day. The park also hosts seasonal festivals, including a BBQ fest, Kids Fest, the Harvest Festival, and An Old Time Christmas. Silver Dollar City offers a unique blend of history, adventure, and entertainment that sets it apart.
