Established in the early 20th century around the Pommer family estate, it showcases a rich collection of about 150 unique plant species. The park is divided into two main sections: the upper part, featuring the Pommer mansion surrounded by flower beds, and the lower part, resembling a forest with trees from various geographical regions.Visitors can explore scenic trails that meander through forests and alongside a tranquil 2-hectare pond, perfect for hiking, cycling, and picnicking. The park also holds historical landmarks, including the Pommer family palace and other buildings, offering a glimpse into Moldova's past. Despite some signs of neglect, Țaul Park remains a beautiful destination for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and an appreciation for the region's unique heritage. The park's complex infrastructure, including preserved sewerage and water supply systems, highlights the quality of its original construction.Originally founded by Ivan Pommer, a Russian landowner, the park was designed by landscape architect Hippolyte Vladislav-Padalko, who brought trees from across the world to create this unique arboretum. During the Soviet era, the complex functioned as a sanatorium, but today, efforts are underway to restore the park to its former glory.
