Founded in 1973 on the site of the former Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences, the park spans 77.8 hectares. It acts as a vital oxygen source and natural air filter for the city.The park's design harmoniously blends natural elements within an urban setting. Visitors can explore over a thousand species of woody plants, representing much of Moldova's flora. The park also cultivates a seed fund of rare and decorative plants, totaling 1,820 taxa, and shelters nine of the thirteen woody plant species listed in the Red Book of Moldova. Rare endemic relicts, such as the Ginkgo biloba, can also be found.Open daily from 8:00 to 21:00, Dendrariu Park provides a serene atmosphere, ideal for leisurely strolls, picnics, and photography.
