Getting There

    From the Orheiul Vechi parking lot, follow the uphill dirt path towards the orthodox church. Continue past the church, and you'll find the ruins spread across the promontory. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. No entrance fees are required to access the general area of the ruins.

  • Public Transport

    From Chișinău, take a bus to Butuceni. Buses depart from the Central Bus Station behind the Central Market. The bus ticket costs approximately 46 MDL. From the Butuceni bus stop, walk uphill for about 10-15 minutes following the main path to reach the ruins.

  • Taxi

    From Chișinău, a taxi to Butuceni will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and cost between $22 and $27. Once in Butuceni, ask the driver to drop you off at the Orheiul Vechi parking lot. From there, it's a short walk to the ruins. Taxi fares within Butuceni are variable.
