The minibus will drop you off near the Saharna Monastery, which is the gateway to the natural reserve. The ride from Rezina to Saharna takes approximately 30 minutes. A single fare for the minibus from Rezina to Saharna is around 20 MDL [Moldovan Leu].

Rezervaţia peisagistică Saharna is a captivating nature reserve in Moldova, approximately 87 kilometers north of Chișinău, near the village of Saharna in the Rezina district. Spanning 674 hectares, this protected area is situated on the bank of the Dniester River and is known for its stunning natural landscapes, which include rocky gorges, caves and diverse flora and fauna. The reserve's unique topography features picturesque valleys and cascading waterfalls, creating a scenic backdrop for exploration and photography. The Saharna River traverses the area, carving its way through the landscape and forming over 22 waterfalls along its 5 km course. One of the most notable is the cascade that falls from a height of 4 meters into a 10-meter-deep excavation called "Groapa Ţiganului". Besides its natural beauty, Saharna holds historical and spiritual significance. The Saharna Monastery, comprising both a cave monastery (Annunciation) and a ground monastery (Holy Trinity), is a major pilgrimage site. The cave monastery dates back to the 7th century, while the Holy Trinity Monastery was founded in 1776. Legend states that the Virgin Mary appeared to Father Bartholomew, indicating the location for the construction of the Holy Trinity Monastery and leaving her footprint on a rock. Visitors can explore the area's diverse flora, including oak, lime, wild cherry, maple, and ash trees. The reserve also provides a habitat for various animal species, including bats.
