Monument to Kotovsky: A Soviet Equestrian Statue

The Monument to Kotovsky is a prominent landmark in Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria, Moldova. According to historical sources, Kotovsky never owned a horse of that particular breed, as they were too expensive for the Russian Army.
