Nestled in a picturesque valley on the right bank of the Dniester River, the Saharna Monastery is one of Moldova's most significant pilgrimage sites. It comprises two monasteries: the Holy Trinity Church and the cave church of the Annunciation. The complex is surrounded by rocky hills, forests, and the Saharna River, creating a serene and calming atmosphere for visitors.

Public Transport
From Chisinau, take a bus to Orhei. From Orhei, take a taxi to Saharna Monastery. The bus journey to Orhei takes approximately 1 hour, and the taxi ride from Orhei to Saharna takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bus fare is approximately 80 MDL, and the taxi fare is around 400-500 MDL.
Driving
From Chisinau, drive north on route M2. After passing through Orhei, continue on local roads towards Saharna. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, covering a distance of around 100 km. Parking is available near the monastery entrance. Be aware that the road beyond Orhei is in good condition.
