Bus

From La Rousse, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is the 'Monte Carlo - Larvotto' stop. Board bus number 100 or number 110 towards Nice. These buses run frequently and will take you towards Nice. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Jean Médecin' stop in Nice. From there, transfer to tram line 1 towards 'Henri Sappia' and get off at 'Gare Thiers'. The Monastère de Cimiez is a 15-minute walk from there. Walk northeast on Avenue de Verdun, then turn left onto Avenue de la République and continue until you reach Place Jean-Paul II Pape where the monastery is located.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, head towards the coast from La Rousse and follow the Boulevard du Larvotto. Continue along the promenade until you reach Boulevard des Moulins. Turn right and head towards Boulevard de Cimiez. Continue walking straight until you reach the Monastère de Cimiez located at Place Jean-Paul II Pape. It’s a scenic route, taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, but offers beautiful views along the way.

Taxi

For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from La Rousse to the Monastère de Cimiez. Simply find a nearby taxi stand or use a taxi-hailing app. The driver will take you directly to Place Jean-Paul II Pape in Nice, which should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
