Walking
From the Prince's Palace of Monaco, head down the hill towards the Monaco-Ville exit. Follow the signs towards the main road, Avenue Saint-Martin. Once you reach Avenue Saint-Martin, turn left and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la République. Cross the avenue, and keep walking straight until you arrive at the entrance of the Old Town area. From there, continue straight until you find Pl. Pierre Gautier on your right, where Palais de la Préfecture is located.
Walking
If you are near the Oceanographic Museum, exit the museum and head towards the stairs leading to Avenue de la République. Once you reach the avenue, turn right and walk towards the main intersection. Continue walking straight, and you will soon see signs for Pl. Pierre Gautier. Follow the directions to your right, and you will arrive at Palais de la Préfecture.
Walking
From the Monte Carlo Casino, exit the casino and walk towards Boulevard des Moulins. Turn left onto Rue des Carabiniers and continue straight until you reach Avenue de la République. Cross the avenue, and you will find yourself heading towards the historical area of Monaco. As you walk straight, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Pl. Pierre Gautier, which will be on your left.
