Car
Starting from any point in the Dzungarian Basin, drive towards Kharkhorin, which is approximately 300 km from Ulaanbaatar. Once you arrive in Kharkhorin, follow the signs to Erdene Zuu Monastery. The monastery is located just outside the town, approximately 2 km from the main road. You will find it at the coordinates 47.2012243 latitude and 102.8409825 longitude. Parking is available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
From Ulaanbaatar, take a bus or minivan (known locally as a 'furgon') to Kharkhorin. The journey takes around 5-6 hours and costs approximately 15,000 MNT ($5). Upon arrival in Kharkhorin, you can either walk (about a 30-minute walk) to Erdene Zuu Monastery or hire a local taxi for around 5,000 MNT ($1.50) to take you the 2 km to the monastery.
