Car
From Karakorum, head northeast on the main road towards Ulaanbaatar. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the turnoff for Selenge province, indicated by signage. Turn left and continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Khan Khentii National Park, which is marked with a large park sign. There may be a small entrance fee, so keep some Mongolian Tugrik handy.
Public Transportation
Take a minibus (marshrutka) from the central bus station in Karakorum heading towards Ulaanbaatar. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Selenge province. The journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Selenge, you can hire a local taxi or find a shared vehicle to take you to Khan Khentii National Park, which is about 10 kilometers from the Selenge bus stop. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your ride.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Karakorum. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which could be around 30,000 to 40,000 Tugrik for a round trip to Khan Khentii. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to arrange for the taxi to return to pick you up at an agreed time.
