From Khovd River Basin, head southeast towards the city of Khovd. Follow the main road (A-15) for approximately 280 kilometers until you reach the town of Khovd. Look for signs directing you to Gobi Mountain Lake, which is located south of the main road. You'll need to take a secondary dirt road that leads directly to the lake.
