Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Lake Khövsgöl, take the main road towards the town of Mörön. Continue on this road for approximately 86 kilometers. As you approach Mörön, look for signs directing you to Ulaanbaatar. Merge onto the road that leads to Ulaanbaatar, which is well-marked. After about 30 kilometers, you'll see signs for Khuvsgul Lake Hotel. Turn left and follow the signs for approximately 5 kilometers until you arrive at the hotel.

• Public Transportation

  From Lake Khövsgöl, board a minibus (known locally as a 'marshrutka') heading to Mörön. The fare is generally around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik). Once in Mörön, transfer to a bus or another minibus that goes to Ulaanbaatar. This leg of the journey will cost around 15,000 MNT. After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you can take a taxi or a ride-sharing service to reach Khuvsgul Lake Hotel at Baga Toirog, Ulaanbaatar. The distance is approximately 10 kilometers from the city center, and a taxi ride will cost around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT.

  If you prefer a more direct route and are willing to spend a bit more, you can hire a taxi directly from your location in Lake Khövsgöl to Khuvsgul Lake Hotel. The estimated fare for this journey is around 70,000 to 100,000 MNT, depending on your exact starting point and negotiation with the driver.
