Car
From the nearest major city, Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar, head east on the A-10 road towards Dornod aimag. After approximately 420 km, you will reach the town of Choibalsan. From Choibalsan, take the M-16 road heading north for about 30 km until you reach Halha Horoo. Look for signage indicating the national park and follow the directions to J4H3+727, where Dornod Mongol is located.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Ulaanbaatar to Choibalsan, which takes about 10-12 hours and costs around 20,000 MNT. Once in Choibalsan, hire a taxi or find a local minibus that can take you to Halha Horoo, approximately 30 km away. The cost for a taxi ride from Choibalsan to Halha Horoo is about 30,000-50,000 MNT. Once you arrive at Halha Horoo, ask locals for directions to J4H3+727, which is well-known among residents.
Taxi
If you are already in Choibalsan, you can take a taxi directly to Dornod Mongol. Ensure you agree on a fare before starting the trip. The trip will take about 40 minutes and should cost approximately 30,000-50,000 MNT. Provide the driver with the location: J4H3+727, Halha Horoo, as most taxi drivers will be familiar with this destination.
