The monastery is located approximately 3 kilometers off the main road, so follow the dirt road leading to the monastery. There is no entry fee for visiting the monastery, but be prepared for some rough terrain as you approach.

From Kharkhorin, you can catch a minibus or shared taxi that travels to the direction of Shankh. Look for a minibus heading towards the Ovorkhangai region. The ride will take about 40-50 minutes. Once you reach the nearest point to the monastery, you may need to walk for about 3 kilometers along a dirt path to reach Shankh Monastery. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the correct spot.
