If you are traveling by car, start at the Beartooth Highway, which is accessible from either the town of Red Lodge, Montana, or the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Drive along the Beartooth Highway (US Route 212) until you reach the junction with Chief Joseph Highway (WY-296). Take the turn onto Chief Joseph Highway towards Cody, Wyoming. Continue driving for approximately 25 miles. The Dead Indian Summit Overlook will be on your right. There is a parking area where you can stop and enjoy the breathtaking views.
