If you're traveling by car from anywhere in the Beartooth Mountains, make your way towards Highway 212. If you're starting from the Beartooth Pass, head south on the highway. Continue on Highway 212 for approximately 14 miles until you reach Cooke City. The Cooke City Montana Museum is located at 206 Main St, Cooke City, MT 59020. Look for the building on your right as you enter the town. Parking is available on the street near the museum.

Public transportation options are limited in the Beartooth Mountains, but if you are near Cody, Wyoming, consider taking the 'Cody to Yellowstone' shuttle service during peak season. The shuttle operates daily and will drop you off at the entrance to the park. Once you arrive at the Northeast Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, you will need to continue by taxi or rideshare service to reach Cooke City, which is only about 5 miles away. Taxis may be available at the entrance, or you can call a local taxi service in Cooke City.
