Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Billings MET Transit Center located at 2820 4th Ave N. Take Bus Route 1 (West) towards the Shiloh Transfer Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at 24th St W and Rimrock Rd. From there, transfer to Bus Route 5 (South) and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop at Coburn Rd. Walk east on Coburn Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Pictograph Cave State Park at 3401 Coburn Rd.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Billings. Start at downtown Billings and head south on N 27th St. Continue onto S 27th St, which becomes Coburn Rd after crossing over the railroad tracks. Follow Coburn Rd for approximately 3 miles until you reach Pictograph Cave State Park at 3401 Coburn Rd. The route is relatively flat and provides scenic views of the area.

    For those who enjoy walking, start at the Billings MET Transit Center located at 2820 4th Ave N. Walk south on 4th Ave N towards N 27th St, then turn left onto N 27th St and continue south until you reach Coburn Rd. Turn right on Coburn Rd and walk approximately 2.5 miles to reach the entrance of Pictograph Cave State Park at 3401 Coburn Rd. This route may take about an hour and offers a chance to explore the surroundings.
