If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Hamilton, MT. Head south on US-93 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the intersection with MT-43. Turn left onto MT-43 and follow it for about 5 miles. Then, turn right onto Fred Burr Road. Follow Fred Burr Road for about 3 miles until you reach the Fred Burr Trailhead. Be aware that the road can be rough, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Missoula to Hamilton via the Mountain Line bus service. Once in Hamilton, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Fred Burr Trailhead, as public transport does not extend directly to the trailhead. Biking
