Car
From Sula, MT (the nearest town), drive south on Highway 93 for about 2 miles until you reach the junction with Forest Road 569. Turn left onto Forest Road 569. Continue on this road for approximately 10 miles. As you approach the McCart Lookout area, the road will become steeper and more rugged. You may need a high-clearance vehicle as the road can be rough. Follow the signs for McCart Lookout. Once you reach the parking area, you can park your car here.
Hiking
After parking at the designated area, you will need to hike about 1.5 miles to reach the McCart Lookout. The trail is well marked but can be steep in sections. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and bring plenty of water. The hike will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your pace.
