Start at the Butte Downtown area, specifically at the corner of Park Street and Main Street. Head south on Park Street until you reach the intersection with Harrison Avenue (MT-2). Turn left onto Harrison Avenue and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. After crossing the bridge over the railroad tracks, keep walking straight. After approximately 1 mile, you will see signs for Thompson Park on your right. Follow the signs to the park entrance.

Locate the nearest bus stop in downtown Butte. Take the Butte Silver Bow Transit bus route that heads towards the north side of town. You'll want to get off at the stop near the intersection of Harrison Avenue (MT-2) and 17th Street. From there, walk east along Harrison Avenue for about 0.3 miles until you see the signs for Thompson Park on your right. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
