If you are starting from the Butte city center, locate the nearest bus stop for the Butte-Silver Bow Transit. Take the Bus Route 1 towards the east side. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. You will want to get off at the 'Museum Way' stop, which is just a short walk from the World Museum of Mining. Once you get off, walk south on Museum Way for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the museum entrance at 155 Museum Way.

If you are near the Butte Civic Center, you can walk to the World Museum of Mining. Head east on W Park St toward S Montana St. Continue straight onto W Granite St. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Museum Way. The museum will be on your right after about a 10-minute walk.
