Public Bus
From Columbia Falls, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Nucleus Ave and 3rd St W. Take the Flathead County public transit bus towards Kalispell. The bus will take you to the Kalispell bus terminal. Once you arrive at the Kalispell bus terminal, transfer to the bus heading towards Ashley Lake. The bus ride to Ashley Lake South Campground will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to the campground entrance.

Bicycle
Start at the Columbia Falls City Park. From there, head south on Nucleus Ave towards 13th St W. Turn right onto 13th St W and follow it until you reach the intersection with Highway 2. Turn left onto Highway 2 and continue westbound. After about 6 miles, look for the signs directing you to Ashley Lake. Follow the signs and take the turnoff onto Ashley Lake Road, which will lead you directly to the campground. The bike ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Walking
If you're up for a hike, start at the Columbia Falls City Park. Walk south on Nucleus Ave until you reach 13th St W. Turn right and continue straight until you hit Highway 2. Cross the highway carefully and take the path that leads towards Ashley Lake. Follow this trail, which will take you through some beautiful scenery. The walk will be quite lengthy, approximately 2-3 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
