If you are in downtown Helena, start by heading east on Broadway Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Last Chance Gulch. Turn left onto Last Chance Gulch and continue walking for another 0.3 miles, passing by local shops and restaurants. You will eventually reach the Helena Civic Center on your right. Keep walking straight and take a right on 6th Avenue. After a few blocks, you will see the Great Northern Carousel ahead on Carousel Way.
